United travels to CC to face undefeated Los Fresnos for area title

Two high-powered offenses are set to meet in a Class 6A area championship.

Weather may be a factor when the United Longhorns (9-2) take on the Los Fresnos Falcons (11-0) at 7 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Buccaneer Stadium in Corpus Christi in the Class 6A Division I area round. The winner advances to the third round to face either Austin Lake Travis (11-0) or San Antonio Brennan (10-1).

“We’re hoping we can get the turnout, the community and other teams in town to support us,” United coach David Sanchez said. “Take a trip to Corpus (Christi) and watch a great football game. I think it’s a really good game and we expect a battle from these guys. We hope our kids come out and play with a passion, love and desire to win that they have been.”…
