Institute supports vulnerable residents via meals campaign, suitcase drive

JANS – As economic pressures continue to strain households across Mississippi, the Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health has launched two holiday initiatives aimed at strengthening families and supporting unhoused residents.

The Institute recently introduced a holiday meals campaign to help ensure families facing financial hardships can enjoy a warm, nutritious meal. Through the Give $50, Feed Five initiative, the organization aims to provide holiday meals for families of five throughout the Metro Jackson area. Community members are encouraged to give $50, or any amount, to help meet the growing need for food assistance during the holiday season…
