AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) —Amarillo High School continues a tradition that began in 1932 and continues to support the Amarillo Children’s Home. The annual Food and Fund Drive collects thousands of cans of food to help feed families and foster children.
“Today’s a really exciting day. It’s like one of our favorites ever. It’s just the spirits are so high because we all get to come together for a really good movement to do something really big that we know is making a really positive impact. So it’s just one of our favorites,” added Amarillo High School Senior Bodi Parks. “We love it.”

Parks explained that she has been part of this drive for all four years of high school and it’s still one of her favorite times of the year.
“It’s just smiles the entire day. Like, we’re looking forward to it the whole week and looking forward to getting to see how many cans and how much money we can raise for all of this. So we’re all, I mean, super excited to be here,” added Parks. “The atmosphere is positive and uplifting the whole time.”…
