Two-alarm fire damages New Orleans East apartment complex: NOFD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at a New Orleans East apartment complex on Friday, Nov. 21.

Around 12:44 p.m., NOFD firefighters were dispatched to the Laguna Reserve Apartments at 5131 Bundy Rd. near Dwyer. When NOFD personnel arrived at 12:50 p.m., flames were visible from windows of a third-floor apartment.

According to the NOFD, firefighters conducted a primary search of all 12 apartments in the complex while others started an interior attack of the second and third-floor apartments that were mainly involved in the fire.
