St. Louis Residents Displaced by Recent Tornado or Condemnations Can Now Apply for Financial Assistance

The City of St. Louis has launched the Impacted Tenants’ Fund. This new program provides financial help to renters who had to leave their homes due to property condemnations or the tornado on May 16, 2025. The initiative is a partnership between the city and Employment Connection. It aims to support residents who were displaced through no fault of their own.

Adam Pearson, director of the Department of Human Services, said the fund was created by the Board of Aldermen to meet the city’s obligations.
