‘White, powdery substance’ found in envelopes sent to Dallas, Irving ICE offices

Envelopes containing a white, powdery substance were sent to ICE offices in Dallas and Irving on Friday, prompting hazmat calls and an order to shelter in place.

Officials with the Dallas Fire Department and Federal Protective Service were called at about 7 a.m. after an officer at the Dallas ICE facility on North Stemmons Freeway opened an envelope addressed to the “Dallas Field Office” and found a “white powdery substance” inside.
