Brief break from soggy weather before the next wave of rain

Grey skies lingered through most of Saturday, though thankfully, they brought the silver lining of dry weather. The damp, overcast conditions will stick around tonight and into early Sunday morning.

Dense fog advisories are in effect across the Ozarks, thanks to an ideal recipe for a foggy night: a soupy atmosphere, light winds, and clearing skies. Visibility is expected to drop to a quarter mile for many locations tonight and into the start of Sunday.

Sunday will get off to a rocky start with morning fog, but changes arrive by late morning and into the afternoon. Sunshine returns along with temperatures climbing into the 60s by sunset, making for a pleasant finish to the weekend.

Enjoy Sunday’s break from the wet weather, as it won’t last long. Rain returns Monday with periods of light, on-and-off showers.

Most areas will pick up between 0.25″ and 0.5″ of rainfall, with heavier totals possible south of Highway 60.

After Monday’s rain, clouds will gradually clear on Tuesday as colder weather moves in. Highs will be stuck in the 40s on both Wednesday and Thanksgiving.

Cooler weather looks to linger into early December, and at this time, there are still no clear signs of our first snowfall…
