DENVER (KDVR) — A license plate reader recently led deputies on a stolen car and foot chase on the roadway near Morrison Road and C-470 in the Evergreen area.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in an X post that deputies recently received a hit from Flock, a license plate reader company, on a stolen Chevy Silverado in the Evergreen area. The driver tried to escape through side streets and back roads before being stopped by deputies.

Deputies used stop sticks to take out multiple tires and slow the vehicle down, then the sheriff’s officer said the sergeant used a grappler police bumper, a device on a police vehicle that helps stop a car from driving off, to stop the vehicle near Morrison Road and C-470. This is just west of Bear Creek Lake Park.
But the chase wasn’t over just yet.
The sheriff’s office said the driver tried to flee on foot, “which also didn’t work.” The suspect was tased and taken into custody…
