Waipahu man arrested after firing gun during argument, HPD says

WAIPAHU, Hawai’i (KHON2) – A man was taken into custody in Waipahu today, Nov. 22, after police say he fired a gun into the air during a confrontation.

According to HPD, patrol officers were called to a disturbance at a residence on Aniani Place in Waipahu at around 2:44 p.m. During the dispute, the suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot one round upward while the victim stood close by.

Man arrested following overnight Wahiawa barricade

Officers located the man shortly after arriving and recovered the firearm at the scene. While no one was hurt, the suspect was arrested for first-degree reckless endangerment.
