A son found his parents dead inside their Bronx apartment where elevated levels of carbon monoxide were found during an investigation into their deaths, according to police.
The building’s superintendent said the victim’s son, who lives out of town, was was having trouble getting ahold of his parents, so he showed up to their home on East 169th Street near Morris Avenue in the Morrisania neighborhood. He asked the super to open the door to their second-floor unit, where he found them both dead on Friday.
The 67-year-old mother was found in bed, while the 58-year-old father was sitting up in a chair in another bedroom, according to police sources. The super said that based on what condition the remains were in, it appeared the couple had been dead for a couple of days…
