Alachua County Forever celebrates 25 years with unique hike

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County Forever marked its 25th anniversary with a celebration that traded cake and candles for hiking boots.

The county opened the newly acquired Watermelon Pond Preserve for a guided hike, allowing people to explore land that many had never seen before.
