Following reports that Governor Josh Shapiro’s private residence in Abington Township is receiving roughly $1 million in security upgrades following the arson attack on the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg in April, the Pennsylvania Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee is preparing to send subpoenas to Pennsylvania State Police and Abington Township for more specifics, Spotlight PA reported.
The committee said multiple letters will be sent seeking documents “describing construction, landscaping, new equipment, and other security-related work” as well as “texts, emails, and other communications that provide details on how decisions were made about what upgrades to pursue”, Spotlight PA said.
