On November 19, 2025, the City of Nicholasville held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Nicholasville Municipal Center. The event took place at 601 N Main Street. City officials, staff, project partners, and community leaders attended to mark the start of construction.
Mayor Alex Carter, the City Commission, Doug Blackford, Bob Amato, and representatives from Brett Construction and Brandstetter Carroll Inc. spoke about the project.
