Death of man on Sierra Highway in Lancaster under investigation, authorities say

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive Saturday morning along a stretch of Sierra Highway in Lancaster, according to information released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies were called to the 44200 block of Sierra Highway around 7:58 a.m. on Nov. 22, where they found an adult male in need of medical attention. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives with the department’s Homicide Bureau were assigned to the case and responded to the location as part of their investigation. Authorities did not release details about how the man was discovered, the nature of his injuries, or what may have led to his death.
