Warm start to Thanksgiving week, much cooler by holiday supper

Thanksgiving is just days away, and after a very warm Saturday, the weather is expected to stay above average until the holiday arrives. By then, colder air returns.

Sunday afternoon will be mild and mostly sunny, though not nearly as warm as Saturday’s record-breaking warmth. Expect highs to reach near 70 degrees.

Chilly and clear weather is expected for Sunday night with temperatures in the 40s.

Clear and quiet weather is anticipated for the early part of the week, with cool temperatures on Monday. It will warm up into Tuesday and Wednesday as the next cold front approaches.

Monday will be comfortable and mostly sunny with high temperatures in the upper 60s.

The next cold front will arrive on Wednesday, bringing showers and storms to the Southeast, including the Carolinas.

Wednesday will be warm with showers possible during the day. Expect highs to reach the 70s.

For Thanksgiving, cooler air will move in, dropping highs to the 50s for the holiday.

By Black Friday, the morning starts cold with temperatures in the 30s and highs only rising to the lower 50s.
