‘It’s not bullying. It’s assault’ Spring Hill mom calls for change in WCS

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Williamson County mother is urging school leaders to act after she says her first-grade daughter was threatened with a pair of scissors by a classmate and then moved to another class while the other student stayed.

Amanda Browning says the incident at Allendale Elementary was the final straw in what she describes as more than a year of escalating behavior problems involving the same student.

“This actually all started last year when my child was in kindergarten,” Browning said in an interview with FOX 17 News. “She wasn’t specifically targeted, but she was a witness to the bullying, the attacks, the constant disruptions, just the overall behavioral issues of the child.”…
