New York City life expectancy jumps to 83.2 years, highest in city’s recorded history

Two years ago, the Adams administration launched its plan called, the “Healthy NYC Plan,” with its goal of making healthy changes so life expectancy could rise to 83 years old by 2030.

It only took two years for New York City to reach that goal.

Citywide life expectancy is now 83.2 years, which is the highest in the city’s history, surpassing the previous high of 82.6 years from 2019 to 2023…
