A Minute with Drexel: Giving and Receiving

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — all of us at WKRG are excited about our Magical Christmas Toy Drive. We love seeing all of you come together to help children in need have a Merry Christmas. The toy drive has News 5’s Drexel Gilbert thinking about gift- giving… but also about receiving… receiving the joy that rebounds from our generosity. Here’s this week’s Minute with Drexel:

This week, we kicked off the annual WKRG Magical ‘Christmas Toy Drive. It is our annual collaboration with the Salvation Army… “Santa”… and you… and every year you fill us with gratitude as you donate toys, games, books, technology gifts. It’s amazing!

You know what I mean. Think about the last time you gave your partner, child, grandchild, co-worker, or even a stranger a gift. Whether it was a tangible gift, the gift of your time, a compliment, I’m betting that the smile, the happy tears, or the hug you received in return, made YOU feel all warm and fuzzy.
