Rockport-Fulton High School Emeralds Headed to the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Four dancers with ties to the Rockport-Fulton High School Emeralds will step onto a national stage next week as they travel to New York City to perform in the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade—one of the country’s most enduring holiday traditions.

Departing Saturday, November 22, the group includes three current Emeralds—Colonel Kinley Ayers, senior; Second Lieutenant Soraya White, senior; and Captain Mattie Wilson, sophomore. They will be joined by Carlie Clark, a senior and former member of the team, who also earned a coveted performance spot.

The dancers secured their place in the parade following months of preparation and a competitive audition process. During a summer team camp in June, performers from across the region were invited to try out for the parade contingent.
