LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A mid-morning crash involving a box truck triggered a chain reaction that brought down multiple power poles along South Chester Street on Monday, cutting electricity to dozens of downtown businesses and forcing police to shut down traffic for hours.

The impact caused three additional poles to break, sending lines crashing into the street. Some business owners nearby said they heard the noise of the collision long before they saw the damage.
