The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the shooting death of 31-year-old Tyrone Kearney. The incident happened on November 19, 2025, in the 1200 block of Valley Avenue, Southeast, Washington, DC. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 5:34 p.m. They found Kearney unresponsive with gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
