Driver hospitalized after crash with freight train in Beaverton

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A driver was hospitalized after a crash involving a freight train in Beaverton on Friday morning, authorities said.

At around 9 a.m., Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and 142nd Avenue on reports of a crash involving a car and a commercial train.

According to TVF&R, the train had moved slowly and the driver of the car suffered “moderate injuries.”
