SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Here on the Suncoast, there are two main species of sea turtles that nest on our beaches… The Loggerhead sea turtle and the Green sea turtle, which for years has been classified as endangered by the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
However, through conservation efforts and the green sea turtles resilience, they are no longer considered endangered!
