Housing authority to sell units near TQL Stadium in $200M rehab bid

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority will sell 105 townhomes and apartments it owns behind TQL Stadium as part of a $200 million plan to rehabilitate the City West development in the West End.

CMHA CEO Gregory Johnson said the move is a difficult choice but necessary in order to deal with the financial issues and declining state of the 686 units in City West, which CMHA took over in October 2024 after a decades-long fraught relationship with its former co-owner and partner Boston-based The Community Builders (TCB). CMHA owned the underlying land.
