NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Redbirds put five in double-figures, as the host Redbirds ran away from the visiting Coastal Carolina on Sunday afternoon, more than doubling up the Chanticleers to a 52-point, 94-42 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams came out and traded points and were tied 4-4 through the first four minutes of the game, before the Redbirds ran off runs of 8-0, 6-0, and 12-0, to stretch the first-half lead to 21 at 32-11 with 7:01 to play in the first half. Another 12-0 run, and a first-half-ending 5-0 run sent the Redbirds into the locker room with a 35-point, 55-20 lead at the break…
