Quiet Sunday Before a Busy Thanksgiving Week – Strong Storms & Heavy Rain, Then Colder

Sunday: Starting out with some clouds and cool temperatures, before becoming mostly sunny and warm into the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. A very nice late Fall day to get out and enjoy!

Next System: On Monday, we will be warm and dry as a low pressure system pushes eastward, with highs in the 70s again. This system will bring storms to Alabama late Monday into early Tuesday, with storms lasting through the day Tuesday. We could see a couple rounds of storms, with strong storms capable of gusty winds possible. As of now, enough questions remain about this set up to prevent severe weather concerns. The cold front will pass Tuesday night, leaving us with a couple showers before drying out Wednesday. Then, a second front will pass on Wednesday bringing much cooler air for Thanksgiving. Stay tuned, as timing and impacts of this system can still change!

Thanksgiving: Much cooler, with highs in the low to mid 50s! Plenty of sunshine and dry. Great weather to go out and have the annual family backyard football game after feasting on turkey and pie. Lows Thursday night will dive into the 30s, so some cold nights are on the horizon.

Black Friday & Iron Bowl: Staying cool, with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Sunshine and dry weather remain. With the nighttime kickoff for the Iron Bowl, expect temperatures to drop quickly, and a cold finish to the game…
