ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — A search warrant filed by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office reveals new details in the case of the Johnston County father charged in the deaths of four of his children.
Wellington Delano Dickens III was arrested on Oct. 27 after the bodies of four of his children were found in the trunk of a vehicle at his home in Zebulon. Dickens had called 911 that day to report he killed his children, according to the sheriff’s office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Dickens is charged with four counts of murder in the death of his biological children — six-year-old Leah, nine-year-old Zoe, and 10-year-old Wellington IV — and his 18-year-old stepson Sean Brasfield. Each died at different times between May and September.
