Regional grassroots efforts tackling food insecurity ahead of the holidays

(FOX40.COM) —Though SNAP benefits have resumed, Sacramento County officials still anticipate an increased demand on food banks heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.

This week, FOX40’s Bianca Ventura had the chance to meet two groups who organized their own grassroots efforts amid the government shutdown while tens of thousands of Sacramentans lost their food benefits.
