(MADISON) One of two young women who got years of mental treatment for the Slenderman stabbing is on the run. Police say Morgan Geyser cut off her ankle monitor and left a group home in Madison Saturday night. Her defense lawyer, Tony Cotton, posted a plea on Instagram for Geyser to turn herself in.
“Do not continue to remain on the run like this. It is not in your best interest to handle this matter that way,” said Cotton.
In 2014, Geyser and Anissa Weier tried to kill their friend. They told investigators they thought they were appeasing a fictional online character called Slenderman. in an attempt to please an online character. ABC’s Jaclyn Lee reports…
