Sapulpa Public School Foundation awards grant money to 57 teachers

SAPULPA, Okla. — The Sapulpa Public School Foundation says it has awarded a total of $43,502.92 in teacher grants, which is being split among 57 teachers across the district.

The Grants-to-Teachers Program provides funds to Sapulpa Public School teachers for the development and implementation of teaching projects. Teachers must submit ideas for their projects.

The grants are funded through private and corporate donations to the Annual John Cockrum Golf Tournament. After the ideas are submitted, a foundation committee prioritize grants based on “imaginative projects to inspire students, generate enthusiasm and promote academic excellence”…
