Arkansas family continues decades-long plea for loved ones’ release

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A family in Little Rock continues their decades-long fight for their loved one who has been in prison.

According to court records, Alvin Earl Lovelace was sentenced to life in prison in 1981 at the age of 23 for aggravated robbery, a class Y felony.

His family says they, along with Lovelace himself, have submitted multiple writs of mandamus, or court requests, seeking action from the Arkansas Department of Corrections regarding what they call a “Possible parole eligibility.”…
