LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was hospitalized Sunday after a report of an armed carjacking led to a Las Vegas police shooting in the central valley, according to Metro police.
Around 12:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of an attempted armed carjacking in an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Indian River Drive, near West Harmon Avenue and South Decatur Boulevard. The suspect was trying to carjack a victim in the area with a knife and threatened the victim with the knife, LVMPD Capt. Ryan Wiggins said.
When officers arrived at the front of the apartment complex, they located the suspect and gave him verbal commands to peacefully surrender however, he did not comply, according to Metro police…
