Dominic Bersani, of East Greenbush, a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II, was honored with more than a cake during his 99th birthday celebration Thursday.
The former fireman first class received a Columbia High School diploma and his military medals during a ceremony at the celebration hosted by the Lois Wilson Memorial Breakfast Club and the Rev. Francis A. Kelley Military Honor Society at the Melvin Roads American Legion Post in East Greenbush.
