Rainy start to the week, dry and chilly by Thanksgiving

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – High pressure will slide to the east Monday. A frontal boundary will bring more rain to the Tri-state Monday afternoon – Tuesday morning. A cooler and drier airmass will settle in for the second half of next week just in time for Thanksgiving!

Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy with areas of fog developing overnight, potentially locally dense. Temperatures will drop into the upper 30s.

High pressure will slide to our east on Monday. Expect increasing cloud cover during the day with highs topping out in the upper 50s. Showers will overspread the region later in the afternoon/early evening and persist overnight. Rainfall amounts of .25″ – .75″ are expected widespread across the Tri-State with the highest amounts falling over Western Kentucky. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 50s. Rain will continue into Tuesday morning before drying out through the afternoon. Highs on Tuesday will top out in the mid 60s.A few lingering showers may be possible Tuesday evening as the front passes overhead…
