Daughter uses mother’s disabled parking permit for front spot at Starbucks

A Clermont woman will appear in court after using her mother’s disabled parking permit for a front spot at Starbucks.

An officer spotted a dark blue 2020 Hyundai SUV sitting in a disabled parking spot in front of Starbucks, located at 2573 E SR 50, around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, according to a traffic citation from the Clermont Police Department. He noticed the driver, 37-year-old Natalie Aviles, did not have a disabled license plate or a disabled parking permit displayed on the vehicle.

When told this, Aviles flipped down the passenger-side sun visor to show the officer a disabled parking permit. However, a record check revealed it was her mother, the second registered owner of the vehicle, who had been issued the permit, not Aviles. She was also not with her mother at the time of the stop, the citation said…
