SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah’s International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) announced on Monday that Derik Minard has returned to the Savannah Fire Department (SFD) as chief.
Fire Chief Minard has returned as the new head for the second time. This comes after former Chief Elzie Kitchen resigned his post on Sept. 19, naming then Deputy Fire Chief William Handy interim chief.
