Amy Burton, Fire Marshal of Pender County, has been appointed as the Eastern Region Director for the North Carolina Fire Marshals Association (NCFMA). She is the first woman to hold this position in the region. Her two-year term will begin on January 1, 2026.
Burton thanked the association for their trust. She stated her commitment to mentorship, engagement, and connecting counties to resources. She also emphasized collaboration and professional development for fire marshals.
