CARLISLE, Pa. — Borough officials on Monday announced that Carlisle’s emergency alert provider, CodeRED, was the victim of a recent targeted cyberattack that may have compromised some user contact information stored on the platform.
“While there is currently no indication that the data has been posted online, if you created a CodeRED account with a password and reused that password elsewhere, you should change those passwords immediately to protect your security,” officials said on the borough’s Facebook page. “If you signed up without creating a password-protected profile, no action is needed at this time.”…
