1 dead, 1 charged with intoxication manslaughter after crash involving Oncor workers

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault after he hit an Oncor truck and killed one worker Sunday evening, according to the Georgetown Police Department.

Officers with the Georgetown Police Department responded to a crash near Westinghouse Road and Kelley Drive around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said a black car driven by 20-year-old Alezander Cruz, of Austin, was going southbound on Kelley Dr. when it struck an Oncor truck working in the area. The crash caused a chain reaction and pushed the truck in front of another vehicle hitting three workers between the two trucks. A fourth worker was able to clear the impact, according to police…
