Portillo’s is expanding its Illinois footprint once again, bringing its Chicago-style favorites to a new pick-up–only restaurant in Plainfield. The fast-casual chain announced it will officially open the location on Monday, Nov. 24, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and drive-thru service beginning at 10 a.m.
The event will feature Michael Portillo, the company’s vice president of restaurant support, who will assist in the ceremony. As part of the celebration, Portillo’s will also present a donation to its local charity partner, Bags of Hope.
Located at 13466 Illinois Route 59, near the intersection of 135th Street and Route 59, the new restaurant marks the company’s fourth Portillo’s Pick Up site. The streamlined model does not include indoor dining; instead, it offers two drive-thru lanes and an indoor counter for guests picking up digital and mobile orders.
