Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police Department and Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Mounted Patrol report that due to the recent outbreak of a potentially deadly virus that affects horses, the Mounted Patrol horses will not be participating in any upcoming events or parades.
The decision comes out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of the horses.
