Addiction clinic seeing more people coming in struggling with kratom, 7-OH abuse

DENVER (KDVR) — Earlier this year, state legislature passed a bill to regulate the sale of kratom, an over-the-counter drug with similar effects as opioids that you can find in gas stations or sold online.

An addiction clinic now says they’re seeing more people come in with addictions to a synthetic form of the drug which has a higher potency.

Kratom isn’t new to store shelves, it’s been on the market for decades and the FDA says 1.7 million people ages 12 and up used the drug nationwide in 2021…
