Snow and cold coming to KELOLAND

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Good morning KELOLAND! A more active forecast is ahead for portions of the region.

Rare Snowy Owl spotted near Sioux Falls

First, a Winter Storm Watch has been posted for much of North Dakota into northern and central Minnesota starting tomorrow. A band of heavy snow and develop NW winds up to 40 will make for difficult travel across parts of the watch area. We expect additional updates to these headlines later today.

Right out the gate, I think the snow forecast with this system will be tight gradient that runs from central North Dakota and dips into northeast South Dakota, then turns east into toward St. Cloud. Sisseton is in a good position to picking up heavy snow, with decent snowfall possible in Aberdeen……
