Caliola Engineering to Expand Leadership Team With Hiring Push

Caliola Engineering, a Colorado Springs-based tech company serving the defense sector, is looking to fortify its leadership team across four new roles as it enters its next phase of growth. Currently a 70-person company, Caliola helps advance critical communications with solutions for encryption, communications planning, satellite communications and mesh networks.

“Over the past five years, we have transitioned from scrappy, bootstrapped start up, to a successful and sustainable defense small business,” Tom Halford, chief scientist at Caliola, wrote Built In. “We are now putting in place the leadership team for the next phase of growth. We aim to be the next mid-tier defense business in Colorado Springs.”

The company is actively seeking out a chief operating officer, vice president of engineering, director of product and director of IT, facilities and security. The COO will manage Caliola’s day-to-day and week-to-week operations; the VP of engineering will oversee the team leaders of Caliola’s engineering and program management departments; and the director of IT, facilities and security will be tasked with upholding Caliola’s physical, virtual and security infrastructure…
