11-year-old boy dead after overnight house fire in Northwest Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Fire Department responded to a house fire on Rowan Avenue and Driscoll Boulevard in the early morning hours on Monday.

Fire crews got the initial call at around 12:14 a.m. and arrived at the house within 5 minutes.

Spokane Fire Department confirmed that an 11-year-old boy died. His grandmother woke up in the night and discovered the fire in the basement, where she and the boy were asleep…
