Marietta woman accused of commercial gambling

Veronica De Jesus Crisosto Rodriguez, 47, of Marietta, is accused of commercial gambling on Oct. 28 at 9:45 a.m. at the Chevron gas station, 375 Pat Mell Road, Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Rodriguez is an employee at the gas station. Inside there are multiple Class B gaming machines (electronic gaming machines) for customers to play. Customers can insert cash into the machines and winnings are to be paid in lottery or store merchandise.

At no time are customers to be paid in cash. Police received a tip that the business was paying cash to winning customers. From Aug. 7 to Oct. 23, agents conducted several undercover operations where an agent would play the electronic gaming machines and would be paid in cash for their winnings. Rodriguez admitted to paying customers U.S. currency for their winnings from the machines to the undercover agent on more than one occasion, according to the warrant…
