A Virginia father is facing charges after police say his 4-year-old son got hold of an unsecured gun inside their apartment and accidentally shot himself in the leg.
Prince William County Police said officers were called shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 to the Townsquare at Dumfries Apartments in the 3900 block of Townsquare Court for a reported shooting involving a child.
According to investigators, the boy “was able to access an unsecured firearm that was inside a closet.”…
