BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — In a WARN letter, it was announced that a roofing materials plant (GAF) in Shafter will cease operations on January 24, 2026, affecting 69 employees.
Building Materials Manufacturing LLC said it announced plans on Nov. 20, 2025, to close the “Shater Glass Mat Facility” on Zerker Road in Shafter. All employees at the facility will be impacted, as the closure of the plant is expected to be permanent.
