AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF) Helen Bissell is on a mission. She travels the country to deliver a mission of tolerance. Bissell’s late father Abe Korn spent several years in concentration camps during the Holocaust. Even though it’s been 80-years, Bissell’s passion for peace is strong. Her father was a positive, upbeat man and she is truly honoring his memory. Watch our interview and then meet Bissell in person. She will be honored at the prestigious Dyess Symposium in Augusta. It’s January 8th at 5pm at the Augusta Museum of History. Parking and admission are free. You can also read her father’s memoir Abe’s Story.
