Five arrested in armed carjacking case after Foxtrot chopper tracks stolen vehicle to Northeast Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD – A stolen vehicle taken during an armed carjacking in Baltimore’s Southeast District led to five arrests Saturday night after police tracked the vehicle using aviation support and recovered a handgun discarded during the suspects’ attempted escape.
Just after 8 p.m. on November 22, members of the Regional Auto Theft Taskforce, assisted by Foxtrot, the department’s aviation unit, located the carjacked vehicle in the 1700 block of Mountpelier Street. As investigators closed in, the five occupants bailed out and fled on foot…
